At Sienna Bathware Pty Ltd (ABN 42 355 631 081) (“Sienna Bathware”, “we”, “us”), we take pride in providing high-quality bathware that is built to last. This Warranty & Product Care Policy explains your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), the express warranty periods we provide, and how to properly care for your products to ensure longevity.
1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL. You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; and
- To have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure.
These rights apply regardless of our express warranty and cannot be excluded.
2. Express warranty periods
In addition to your rights under the ACL, Sienna Bathware provides the following express warranties on products purchased directly from us:
Residential use: 24 months from the date of purchase
Commercial use: 12 months from the date of purchase
This express warranty is offered in Australia only and is conditional on the product being installed, used, and maintained in accordance with our Product Care guidelines below.
3. Scope of warranty
Covered:
- Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
- Products supplied with incorrect components or missing parts.
Not covered:
- Normal wear and tear, surface patina, or variations in colour/finish (particularly on living finishes such as raw brass).
- Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, or use of non-licensed tradespeople.
- Damage from water quality issues such as corrosion, scale build-up, or high water pressure.
- Scratches, chips, or stains caused by abrasive or unsuitable cleaning products.
- Modifications, unauthorised repairs, or use of non-genuine parts.
- Freight, installation, or removal costs (unless required under the ACL).
4. Warranty claims process
To make a claim:
- Contact us in writing at support@siennabathware.com.au
- with your order number, proof of purchase, and a clear description of the issue.
- Provide supporting photographs or video evidence.
- We may request inspection of the product or return to us for assessment.
- If the claim is accepted, we will repair, replace, or refund the product (at our discretion) in line with ACL requirements.
All claims must be made within the applicable warranty period.
5. Product care guidelines
Proper care is essential to preserve the beauty and functionality of your Sienna Bathware products.
General cleaning:
- Use a soft cloth and warm soapy water for everyday cleaning.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean towel to prevent spotting.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, acidic or alkaline cleaners, bleach, and abrasive pads.
Tapware & showers:
- Ensure installation by a licensed plumber in accordance with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code (NCC), and WaterMark/WELS requirements.
- Flush pipes before installation to prevent debris damage.
- Do not exceed recommended water pressure or temperature.
- Regularly clean aerators and shower heads to remove mineral deposits.
Basins & ceramic products:
- Avoid dropping heavy objects into the basin.
- Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners.
- Wipe dry after use to prevent mineral build-up.
Finishes (e.g., brushed brass, gunmetal, matte black):
- Many finishes are “living finishes” and will naturally change appearance over time. This is not a defect but part of the material’s unique character.
- Do not use waxes, solvents, or abrasive compounds.
- Gently polish with a soft microfiber cloth if needed.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product in question.
- We are not liable for consequential or indirect losses, including labour, installation, or removal costs, unless required by the ACL.
